Short synopsis:

Once upon a time, there was a Gumiho (nine-tailed fox) that really wanted to become a human being. She is too beautiful that all man would fall for her beauty. To solve this problem, Sam Shin grandma decided to matchmake her with a man so that she would be married off. But, the women spread rumours that she eats human liver such that no man would want to marry her. Since no man would want to marry her, she was trapped in a painting in a temple for a very long time.

500 years later, a man called Cha Dae Woong, stumbled upon the painting in the temple and unknowingly released the Gumiho. According to Park Dong Joo (a Goblin), for the Gumiho to become fully human, she has to let a human keep her most precious bead for 100 days. She listened to the advice of Park Dong Joo and asked Dae Woong to keep her most precious bead within himself for 100 days. But what Park Dong Joo didn't tell her was that, by doing this, it would eventually cause Dae Woong's death! Slowly, the Gumiho and Dae Woong falls in love with each other...but will Dae Woong survive? Will the Gumiho finally become a human? Can the both of them be together in the end? I don't know...that's why I'm still watching:) It's a really funny show and I'm liking it so far:)

A few days ago, I was modifying my blog and I thought really hard for a new title...and then it just clicked and I asked myself, why did I name my blog "AGAPE" (which means God's love in Greek) in the first place? I felt ashamed because I realised how much I've lost touch with God, my heavenly Father, who loves me soooo much! I hope my new blog title will always remind me of God's love and sacrifice on the cross and the many blessings He's poured out on to my life:)

May this common verse, which I so often overlook, remind you as it reminded me of God's unconditional love for you and I:)

Ever since coming back, I've been having flu. For the past 2 weeks, I have woken up with a red eye. The first time, I went to see a doctor at the clinic who actually prescribed me 2 types of medicine but they reversed the side effects of those 2 medicine! They asked me to take one type at night which actually causes insomnia and another type to take in the morning which actually causes drowsiness...read it again...and you'll realise how mixed up the medicines are...so neneh! My eye got worse and I went to the eye doctor at University Hospital instead. Thankfully, now my eye is recovering much better:)

But...my appetite has been down ever since coming back too! It is soooo difficult for me to finish my food these days. I ordered char kuey teow today...and I ordered it with the idea that the portion is usually small and I should be able to finish it....but nooooo! I couldn't finish it as well! I'm such a lousy eater these days:( Oh, what is happening to me??? Soon, I will vanish!

Dear Lord, please help me recover from the flu and red eye and increase my appetite.

I have officially GRADUATED! I have to say that it wasn't easy going through 4 years at Cambridge but there are sooo much to thank God for:) God has been really good to me, providing me with really good friends and also a caring companion, all of whom have filled my time at Cambridge with sweet memories:)

I am back home in Malaysia for good and I am going to start work next month. As I move into the next phase of my life, with God's guidance and strength, I hope that the little me will make a difference to my family, friends, future colleagues and the country:)

After picking Sook Kuan up on Saturday night and driving down her street, I suddenly braked and Sook Kuan asked me, "What's wrong?". I shouted, "THERE'S A SNAKE!!!!" I was really really really close to going over the snake! I quickly reversed and we both watched in FEEEEAAAAAR as the 2 METERS LONG SNAKE slithered across the road in front of my car...AND ENTERED SOMEONE'S GARDEN THROUGH THE FENCE!!!! We were SOOOO SCARED!!!!! We didn't know what to do! We sat in the car, too afraid to come out! Then we called the police and they sent ppl over to catch the snake...but they only came 30 minutes after that and we didn't know where the exact location of the snake was by then! Within that 30 minutes, we finally got the guts to come out of the car, alerted the neighbours to call the house owner (who was sleeping!). When the snake catchers came, we left after giving them our testimony and I don't know if they actually managed to catch the snake...here's a pic of a python online which was really similar to what I saw slithering on the road...

Blogging...dilemmas

Many of my friends and myself (i realised) have slowed down or completely stopped blogging...is it because we're too busy with university? too busy with work? Are we growing older that blogging is not our thing anymore? I started blogging when I was in college...and at that time I would blog regardless of how busy I am (I think). but now...even though I'm not that busy, I don't blog much. whenever I have something to blog about, I'm too busy...but when I'm free, I have nothing to blog about and the things that I said I would blog about when I'm free doesn't seem so interesting anymore when the time comes...does that happen to you too?

Should I keep the blog alive even though I don't blog a lot or my posts aren't interesting? Or should I just stop blogging like everyone else?

Akron, Ohio, US:

I went to Goodyear in Akron just a weeks ago and I had a reeeeaaaallllly good time. The people there were soooo nice...it's unbelievable! They kept bringing me out to eat good food and I eat different styles of food everyday...Japanese, Mediterranean, Mexican, Indian, Chinese. I also went to Cleveland in the weekend to see one the 5 great lakes i.e. Lake Erie. It looks almost exactly like a sea! So huge that I can't even see the borders...and it's suppose to be a lake! They gave me a really really really nice and huge room at Hilton.

End of the Spear

I watched a movie called 'End of the Spear' with my cg yesterday and it was a really meaningful movie. My favourite line of the movie is when the boy asks his father, "Will you shoot them if they attacked you?" and the father answered, "We're ready for heaven but these people aren't." It is a very touching story of Forgiveness and it really reminds me that there's a greater goal in life than all the things that we run after in life=) Do enjoy the trailer, it is very good by itself=)

I made egg tarts for the first time today and to my surprise, it was really successful! Thank God for them=) Look at my ready baked egg tarts...I'm soooo happy=)

Ding Jian bought me a potted flower yesterday and it is really beautiful=) They are really cute and unique, the flowers grow upside down...but the petals grow upwards! So amazing!

Two days in a row, two friends asked me, "You look very tired, how many hours do you sleep a night? Your eye bags quite big". Oh dear...Cambridge has turned me into a ZOMBIE!!! but as far as I remember, my eye bags have always been quite big regardless of how much I sleep=( ooo...Guy Fawkes night was tonight and the fireworks at Cambridge is just soooo BEAUTIFUL!!!

I have been living without internet in my house for the past month due to many problems getting the internet sorted. Being a student and not being able to use internet, not forgetting that the job applications deadlines are all very soon, is really HORRIBLE! today is the 1st day that we got the internet sorted and working...and it is a great feeling. sometimes I think we take things for granted. I never knew how important internet was until it's gone and I think we all need to count our blessing everyday and thank God for everything that He has graciously provided=) Thank you dear Lord=) time to catch up on job applications now...for those graduating soon and searching for jobs, all the best!

Pulau Perhentian

I said I was going to update trip to Bangkok in the previous post, but I don't have the pics yet so I'll update on Pulau Perhentian trip=)

It was a combined PE1 trip and HK ppl trip...8 of us altogether. Zhao planned it but in the end he didn't make it...tragic but oh well, we had lots of fun nonetheless=) Our welcome drinks looked like they had human's blood dripped inside. We paid quite a lot for the resort but guess what...they didn't even have the money to fix their lamps! The pic underneath was Ding Jian and Sao Lee's room which fortunately had one bedside lamp working...in the girls room, both the bedside lamps weren't working!

We spent more time in the sea than on the beach playing beach games this trip...maybe cos there weren't a lot of PE1 sports gila ppl=( Oh...and there are alot of ants, and frogs! There were ants in the glasses at the restaurant, there were 2 frogs right outside the girls' room...oh and the water is yellow! We had to buy water from the counter which cost RM6 per bottle of 1.5litre. Super ex la...after that we had to curi-curi take water from the restaurant during dinner...until we found out that they had a cctv right behind us! I don't have a lot of pics here but I have them in my memory=)

Since I came home, I haven't been able to sleep well at night, wake up frequently to even the slightest noise...so not me at all='( I used to be able to sleep even if it's a war zone outside lo...sigh. I'm super lembik la...I played badminton for 2 hours and I have difficulties moving for 2 days. Now also still haven't fully recovered, hand and legs still aching gila babi (haha I don't usually use this word). I really need to exercise more la...gain some muscles. But before that I need to gain some fats, then only can convert to muscles=) Trip to Bangkok coming soon...

After my exams, my friend and I had a long road trip to Land's End, Cornwall. We made a few stops along the way though, the 1st place we stopped was Bristol. Bristol is really developed! It's like a big city! There's a very high and long suspension bridge, Clifton Suspension Bridge, that was built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It's sooo amazing to see such an engineering piece! Too bad I'm not a civil engineer, and I don't want to be one also, but I do admire civil engineers' work.

This is also a view from somewhere quite high up in Bristol, isn't the view just amazing! So breath-taking!

At Land's End, we ate ice-cream and played kite=) Can you see the kite? It's a very small dot in the cloud=)

We were trying to make the same photo as what we did in the previous road trip to Dover. I was pretending to drop off the cliff and hanging for my life while Junming tries to save me. Unfortunately, this time Junming don't look very convincing as he's looking at the camera!

The flower is a gift from Sara=) The view is just sooo beautiful, can you see the different shades of blue of the sea? The sea is sooo beautiful on this side of the world!

Oh, along our journey in Cornwall, we stumbled upon Roskilly's factory/farm. Roskilly's makes Cornwall's famous cream tea and clotted cream ice-cream. So we were in the middle of a farm in the middle of no where. As we came out of the car and Junming locked the car, the car alarm went off. No matter what we did, the car could not be unlocked and we were locked out of the car! Junming called the car rental company which called Volkswagen. They sent a guy over to help us but he took more than 1 hour because we were in the middle of no where. While that, we drank cream tea and ate ice-cream of course! We played stupid games such as aiming and throwing stones into a circle we drew on the sand. When we got bored, we sat down and sang songs. Here we are posing and looking as though we're taking a photo for some fashion clothing.

Ooo...we also saw horse! FREE HORSES! Not free of charge but just running freely. I've nvr seen horses run so wild and free before! It's like in the movies! I usually see horses being ridden on in amusement parks and stuff like that but these horse were really carefree and unowned (I suppose) =) The white horse is sooo charming, so pure and white, and handsome=) He's the leader of the clan (I think), and he's always at the front line. There's also another white horse at the end of the line, making sure no one gets lost and all of them are safe I assume=)

On our way back, we stopped at Stonehenge. The myths regarding the stones are quite funny=) I think the entrance fee is a bit too expensive la. Oh well, to spend time with ppl close to me, it's worth it=)

I just watched Star Trek and I find Chris Pine quite cute! I never knew about him until I watched Star Trek and he's quite charming I have to say.

Star Trek is really quite a nice movie. Although I do not follow the Star Trek series, it was still really interesting=) There's so much fighting, conflict and suspense and I really like it=)

Project is more tiring that I'd imagine. Just when I thought that exams were over and I can chill a bit...noooo. Work is never ending on this end of the world, I wish I could lie on the grass and enjoy the sun and the cool breeze, just for one day...one day is enough for me. But when I think of all the ppl who are facing greater challenges in life, I feel thankful for all that God has done in my life=) There are many who wants to come to Cambridge but they just don't have the chance to. I thank God for where I am now=) Oh...I wanna watch Hannah Montana, and many other good movies showing now. I want to be crazier...there's sooo much more to life!

As I entered class at 10am this morning, my friend saw me and asked me, "Where were you?". I gave him this confused look. Then he continued, "You take 3C6 module right?" Then I was still blur, "What's 3C6?" He then told me, "VIBRATION! Where were you during the 9am lecture?" I totally had no clue I missed a lecture! I even checked my timetable a few times the night before! So...I came back, and highlighted the words as well as coloured the boxes of my timetable. I am sure I won't ter-miss another lecture anymore! If I do...I really don't know what to say about myself already....

I recently dreamed of making pineapple tart and yesterday, the "dream" came thru=) Took the whole day making it but I'm glad that it tastes nice!

Ding Jian's b'day

Last Sunday was Ding Jian's birthday...invited about 15 ppl to eat at HK Fusion. I wanted to surprise him so I blind-folded him while walking to the restaurant...but his sense of direction was too good...he could imagine where we are going although we never ate there before.

When we reached there, SURPRISE!!! Everyone greeted the arival of "Yang Terhormat"=) The food was really good and they even gave complimentary dessert=)

Unexpectedly, there was karaoke too! It's my first time seeing a karaoke in Cambridge!

Then we headed back to my room to cut cake=)

And sabo him=) I put facial cleanser on his face and lipstick around his lips=)

Life is tough...

When we're in primary, we worry about UPSR. When we're in secondary we worry about PMR and SPM. When in college we worry about A-level. Then we worry about getting into a good university. When in university, we worry about internships and career. Currently I am at the stage of worrying about internships. One worry after another, when I enter Cambridge, I thought that I would have more work opportunities and it would be easier to find job. But now, I just feel that I don't stand better opportunities at all! There are just too many students applying and so little vacancies. Who am I? Just one in a million, who's application can just be thrown into the bin anytime. All I've done this Christmas break was just internship applications, and I am still doing it now! Well, the more I apply the better chances I stand right? There must be at least one company (hopefully) who wouldn't mind taking me just for the fun of it. If I have all the time in the world, I would apply endlessly but currently, my energy and spirit is draining and time is short. Term is starting soon and supervision work (and tripos questions!) that I hoped to do during the holidays is barely touched. What should I do??? At the end of the day, I need a job. But to get a job I need good results. So should I keep on applying or start studying? One day at a time, dear Shirley...I keep reminding myself. Everything will fade but God is ever standing by my side.

This holiday I went to only one place for "holiday" and that is the Christian Fellowship House Party at a small village out of Cambridge called Houghton. From Cambridge, the ~15 of us took the bus to Houghton. The bus journey was about 45 min and along the way there were a lot of sheep.

This is the inside of the place we stayed called the Houghton Chapel.

On the 3rd day, we took the bus to a nearby town called St Ives. This is us waiting for the bus but for some reason everyone is looking at the same direction. Maybe there was another camera there=)

Tada...just as we came down the bus, we took this nice view of the town.

Grace and Pong packed sandwiches for us and we wanted to sit by the river to eat until all the swans, ducks and birds started swarming us that we thought that it wasn't a good idea to eat there=( There were sooooo many swans! So beautiful=)

This sesat swan was walking on the pavement. I really wanted to touch it but it wasn't very friendly=( it kept making hissing sound and like wanna peck me....I got scared and just took off=(

This is our favourite past time...ping pong! On the last night I stayed up to 6am playing...I know I'm crazy...hehe=)

It was a great retreat! I learned a lot from our guest speaker, Bartho. May God help me to apply what I've learned into my daily life=) I also got to know a lot of people better=) And eat lots of good food=)

The week is killing me slowly...I am super exhausted with work. Need to sleep but too much work='( I terslept during lectures today and my friends got shocked. They told me that it's a very rare occasion to see me sleep in class. but I'm tired....

Well, I'm looking forward to the end of term in 3 weeks...not that I have much Christmas plans but at least I can have more sleep and no supervision work to rush! *yawns* I'm gonna take a nap, and start mugging as soon as I wake up to START (not continue) supervision work which is due tomorrow. help me...........

God has blessed me soooo much with great family members and friends! I had a great 21st b'day celebration on Sunday night=) Thank you all soo much, especially my family for preparing everything=) Not forgetting my dear friends. Each one of you in your own circumstances, made an effort to come...missing another friend's party, being late for family dinner, having a flight the next day at wee hours of the morning, having a test the next day, and sooo many more! Thank you all for making it a success, without you all, it would be meaningless! You all made my day! Love you all very much=)

Look at my brightly lit Birthday Cake! It has 21 candles on it! And with my one super big breath I blew them all out=)

From this photo cannot see (only zhao's photos can, thank you Zhao for being my unofficial photographer!), I was taking a candle out from the side of the cake with my mouth because my notty friends made me....but I took it out quite easily=)

So they weren't really satisfied that I didn't get dirty at all! So NOTTY SIEW KIM...actually it was MICHELLE CHAN! that influenced her, to smack the cake cream on my face unexpectedly, much later of the night. I thought I could escape from it this year but unfortunately, the TRADISION continues....I get cake smacked on my face almost every year!

My dearly missed Assuntarian friends! GIRLS ROCK! hehe=)

I must be a big fan of Sushi Groove without realising it...because i went there 3 TIMES THIS WEEK! First was with my taylor's friends on Sunday, then with my sister on Wednesday and today with my church friends! They should give me like some loyalty card since I go there so often...haha=) Or they should give me more discount on every guest I bring=) Well, they gave us RM10 voucher today, and we had 10% discount because got Jusco card, so acceptable la=)

I think their system is really good and other restaurants should apply it too! Like sushi groove 1u has 15% discount for Maybankard holders, pyramid has 10% discount for Jusco card and CIMB card holders. It really encourages ppl to go there if they have these cards, and vice versa Sushi Groove lovers would get these cards to get more discount! And the vouchers too! Kota Kinabalu!

In Kota Kinabalu, we went to the Kinabalu park and also the beach...too unfit to climb to the peak of Mount Kinabalu. Hehe=) The town is really quite developed...not cheap at all! The prices are comparable to KL...there's a lot of branded goods like Esprit, Seed, Quicksilver, Charles & Keith, etc. It's a place worth visiting=)

It was drizzling so we bought this funny looking raincoat.
Dad thinks it's useful for playing golf in the rain too!

Hmm...there's sooo many things that happened and I don't know where to start.

1. Let's start with Malaysian Night in Feb 2008! I danced an indian mix rock dance. I'm one of the very few 2nd year who danced, mostly are 1st years but I really love dancing, so I volunteered! I enjoyed myself! Enjoyed performing, and also getting to know the 1st years better=)

2. In Easter, my family came over to UK and we went on holiday to Prague, Budapest and Vienna=) And my grandma stayed back with me for a month! She's so adventurous, so brave to take flight back alone! Love her very much=)

It was snowing so heavily in Prague! Suppose to be SPRING kononnya! And we were waiting at the wrong bus station! Stuck in a place where not many speaks English...it was challenging!

3. Back in Cambridge, it snowed!

4. After exams, in Summer, we rented a car and drove South, to the coast, Canterbury, Dover, Brighton and Beachy Head (it's sound obscene I know).

5. Since I came back from UK, I've been to Penang (unfortunately we didn't take any pics there), Tawau and Tioman=) Our main attraction in Tawau was SEAFOOOOOOD! We ate crab every meal! That's like 4 meals of crab consecutively!

I'm glad that my holidays are finally starting! Well, not that it just started but I've been working all these while! So it's really just starting for me! For the next month, I'll really be on holiday! Am going to Kota Kinabalu, then Singapore, then Langkawi! *smiles widely*

But...I miss my colleagues too. They've been really nice to me and I really treasure them=)

Am looking forward now to the many trips for the next month and also outing with friends=)

As I was at the parking autopay machine after work, I looked into my wallet. I'm suppose to pay RM7. okay, it wasn't difficult to figure how out to pay. I had one RM5 note, one RM1 note and a few coints which add up to RM1++. I thought okay la, this is the best way, then don't need to use RM10 and get change.

I put the RM5 note first. Then i put the coins in....but.....the machine could not accept my 5o cent coin! I had no choice! I pressed the cancel button and VOILA! RM5 worth of 50 cent coins all came out! How dumb can I be? I shouldn't even have put RM5 first! In addition, I had another RM3 worth of 50 cent coins because I had to use RM10 then! Now my wallet is super heavy of 50 cent coins la! Ish...I AM SOOOO STUPID! I think the people behind me must be thinking I'm really stupid...so paiseh onli!

Today's one of the few days that I'm actually sitting at home on a Sunday. Normally if my family have no plans, I would be out with friends but not today, no vacation trip today nor movie outing.

This morning my Sayang left for Petronas outbound camp, I sent him off from twin towers. I won't be getting any wake up calls nor lunch calls nor sleep time calls for a week cause no phones are allowed during the camp. You dedicated this song to me once, now I'm dedicating it back to u. My phone got pick-pocketed 2 days ago. Only 6 months old (T_T) I was taking the bus back from work that day. Haven't sat the bus in Malaysia in a very long time...the nightmare started at KL Central. The amount of people is just overwhelming. There were so many busses yet none were vacant. Everytime people left, even more came and they kept coming non-stop! When I finally entered the bus, I was sandwiched. There were people all around me...I've never felt so claustrophobic till that moment. I could hardly breathe! My phone was in my front pocket and it still got pick-pocketed! I've never felt so unsafe. Thank God that I was holding on to my wallet. When I left the bus I found my bagpack opened but thankfully there weren't anything valuable to steal.

As I opened the door, I wasn't expecting anyone to greet me. As I took my first step, I was greeted by a LIZARD!!!!!!!! I stepped on it with my right foot!!!!!! Then I screamed, "AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" and jumped! As I land on my left foot, "PYAK!", the lizard greeted my left foot!!!!!!!!! This time the impact was so much WORSE as I landed on one leg and my full weight was on that poor lizard!

Disclaimer: I did not kill the lizard, btw. I might have broke some of it's bones (not sure) but I didn't kill it. It could still run away.

Yesterday was.....wow. Did sooooo much stuff. Went out for lunch and movie with Michelle and Cheryl. I didn't know there was such a place called 'The gardens' in MV. This shows how long I've been gone! It looks so empty. For the 1st time I saw some UK shops which I've nvr seen here before like Borders & Aldo. Watch a really nice movie 'The Incredible Hulk'!

Then played bowling. I beat Cheryl! *Evil grin* hehe.

At night was Jun Meng's farewell dinner at Chilli's. It's so good meeting all my church friends again. Also met some new people whom just recently attend OUG cg while I was away. Bon voyage Jun Meng.

A Blessed Year

This is going to be a loooooong post of all my previous term stuff. I had a blessed year and a blessed term and I hope the year ahead will also be good. I'm feel blessed bcos....

1) Speakers

I got a £50 voucher from amazon so I bought a really good altec lansing speakers. After that, Ding Jian bought a 17in macbook (Petronas sponsored £1000) and now my room is equipped to watch movie=) ...not that there's a lot of time to watch movie during term time but during holidays I watched quite a few movies=)

2) Mobile phone

I got a new mobile phone too=)

4) Brussels & Paris trip

When I first landed in Brussels and was boarding the train, a very unfortunate thing happened i.e. my wallet got stolen. Though it was unfortunate, I felt fortunate as I didn't lose my Euro money cos they were in my pocket instead of my wallet. I still lost quite a bit of Sterling pounds but I truly thank God that I still had my Euros to survive my holiday. I still enjoyed my holiday very much, going up Eiffel Tower and visiting these 2 beautiful cities.

5) Christmas

At the start of holiday I was planning to invite friends over for Christmas dinner until I found out that visitor aren't allowed into college after 6pm during Christmas period. I was quite sad thinking that Christmas would just pass by staying in the room studying as there was no shops open on that day. As Christmas approached, 2 Singaporean church friend (married couple) invited a bunch of us over to their place on Christmas. So after church they drove us to their comfy home and cooked for us lunch. After lunch we watched dvds i.e. Shadowlands and Robin Hood. Then they also cooked dinner for us and continued moving watching session i.e. Mr. & Mrs. Smith. It was a great Christmas spent with friends=)

6) Boxing day

I went down to London on Boxing Day to visit my brother and also for shopping. It's always good to see my brother, knowing that he's well....also I always get treated to really really good food=) In the shopping that I did, God blessed me with 2 pretty coats, one white and one black.

There's just so much that the Lord has blessed me with, I experienced down and up times but I thank God for both of them for they make me stronger and equipped for the things God has in mind for me to do. Term is starting soon...I'd better get back to work! Can't wait till term ends cos my parents and grandma are coming!!!!

Trip to Prague!!!!

I just came back from Prague yesterday...it was soooooo fun! In spite of the cold and drizzle, we managed to visit quite a lot of places. On the first day we arrived, we went to the apartment and it looked really torn down on the outside...there was construction and dust everywhere. To our surprise, our apartment was sooooo much nicer than what it looks from the outside!

IDP robot

During the first 4 weeks of term, I had IDP robot to build. It was very challenging and it was a good experience indeed...such a time constraint really strained me! The robot had to pick up 5 tennis size balls of 3 different masses and deliver them to their respective bins in 5 minutes.

My 20th B'day

Haha...I know it's soooooo late to post this but it was a very special day for me so hope to share my joy with you all too=)

At midnight, my cg members came to surprise me. They sneaked into my room while I was in the shower and gave me a big shock when I entered the room with my messy-looking wet hair, totally unprepared! So sweeeeeeet of them=)

In the morning, Hai Han made a traditional b'day breakfast for me....it was Mee Suah!

Yummy...delicious.....

Then there was a lovely Vietnamese dinner with Ding Jian...followed by a very nice walk round town...seeing ppl who didn't seem to notice us(except for Agnes) as if we were like spirits.

Ding Jian brought me to market square where I noticed Sara and Junming standing around...so we stopped by to talk to them when......SURPRISE!!!! Everyone turned up behind me singing happy birthday song. It was amazing how they've hid till I was talking to Sara and Junming, and wasn't aware of my surroundings.

We later went to Soul Tree to see Hai Han DJ-ing....had a dance with him.

He's really good at salsa...

Lastly, the most precious moments that I'll remember and treasure for the rest of my life=)

Today I learned a very good lesson in church. Each and everyone of us have a past, some good and some bad. Some of us can't seem to forget the past and move on. Some of us have a bad past which we hide from the world, from our friends, from our parents, those who love us so much. We are so afraid to disappoint them...so afraid that we will hurt them.

I've messed up so badly that most of you don't even know it. Through the time when I messed up I turned away from the world because I was so afraid of people asking me questions and questions and questions I do not know how to answer. It was the worst time of my life. But you know what, it is when we do not tell people that we are most vulnerable. We try to hide everything so well that it actually eats us up inside. Do not let the thought that, your friends will dislike you for what you have done, consume you. True friends will accept you as a whole, even in your mistakes.

I earnestly pray to God that I will not repeat my mistakes and that I will not be bound by my past. I thank 'you' for accepting me in spite of my messed up past. It's so true that God's love does not rise and fall with performance. He loves us unconditionally. This is my prayer...

This morning, I emailed my college secretary asking if there are any scholarships or awards that I could apply for. And guess what? I got a scholarship without even filling in any forms or writing long essays of why I am worthy of the scholarship. This scholarship covers my college fees. PRAISE GOD! Now I can reduce my family's burdens and not spend too much of their hard earned pay=)

Bad 3rd day at client's office...

It was my 3rd day at the client's office y'day. I always lock my laptop to the table when I go for lunch. At 4.30pm y'day, I realised I lost the key to unlock my laptop. It was almost impossible to trace back my steps as I walked really far for lunch and walked around a supermarket to buy snacks too. When I got the laptop I was told to not lose the key as there's no spare key! I'm so CARELESS! so I walked to Ampang Park to find a locksmith...it took a while for the locksmith to come as he was out. As I was waiting anxiously for him, my colleagues were very nice...all trying to cheer me up. Then the locksmith came and saw my lock! Now my laptop got a bit dented adi and I now have to buy a lock to return to Deloitte AND I paid RM25 to the locksmith...so sakit hati. But I thank God that it's not the laptop that got lost. On my way back I also redeemed a FREE large cup of Extreme Buzz from San Francisco Coffee which cheered me up a little...God is so merciful=) Now I have to think of how to explain to the authority about the dent on the laptop...

After a long day, I wish I was that little kitten being pampered...

I was at dinner with my family when I suddenly pop up the question, "What did our house look like last time?" because I don't remember much. Then I remembered all the kittens that have died in my hands. Those poor homeless kittens. There were 2 kittens which were in the drain screaming for help. It was in the morning that I heard it but it was too dark and I didn't know their whereabouts. When I came back from school in the evening I heard one of it still screaming and I took it home. I think the other one washed down the drain already. The one I took home was drenched wet with all the longkang water. Poor thing...but I couldn't help much also. It died after a week. Then there was another 3 kittens which I brought back in a box left by someone near Taylor's College. Took them to the vet some more with Siew Kim but the vet didn't help much cos we no money to pay. But bought special milk powder from the vet. I wake up at 3am to feed the kittens who made noise. Put warm packets of water around them to keep them warm. But they all died one by one also in the end. Everytime one dies I cry...so sayang them. I guess life's like that. You can't expect things to work out the way you want it to. Sometimes you mean to do good but things just doesn't turn out good but that doesn't mean you should stop trying to do good. I would not stop trying to save kittens lives...hopefully someday there'll be at least one kitten which would grow up to be a cat under my love and care.

After 9 months of being in Cambridge, I would dare say that I loved my time in Cambridge in spite of all the stress. 10 reasons to support this:

1. I love my friends there, Ding Jian, Jo-anne, Wei Shen, Sara, and all those who cares for me.

2. I love the fights I have with Ding Jian, the studying sessions, the korean noodles session, you with your 2-3 eggs per packet of instant noodle! and your endless efforts of wanting to get rid of instant noodles' wax and me just being too lazy to do so when I'm cooking for myself...will miss all those this coming year...

3. I love walking with Jo-anne everyday through the big green field...it kind of makes time pause for a second in this ever fast moving world.

4. I love my cg. It never fails to make me feel at home.

5. I love the beauty of Cambridge when it snows. Reminds me of the time when I called Wei Shen to open the gate, then I threw a huge snow ball at him, awww....so innocent.

6. I love tennis sessions, although I always kena scolding by Ding Jian who keeps on saying, "Eh, move your legs la...stand there like Statue of Liberty only".

7. I love looking at Wei Shen and Ding Jian imitating me, their(or perhaps mine) favourite "Aiyoh......." phrase.

8. I love the time when Ding Jian and I sat at Christ's pieces, reading bible and getting to know each other better...why did we end up in Christ's pieces? Because....Ding Jian(who's been attending Eden church for months!) thought service starts at 9am when it actually starts at 10am! I feel like whacking this old man ar.....

9. I love to see Kenneith practising ballroom dancing, crazily dancing around his room...I'm not stalking him btw, it just so happens that he lives opposite me and I can see through his window. Though I can't see Wei Shen dancing salsa in his room, I can imagine it...crazily and enthusiastically dancing on his own.

10. I love to see this mix Malaysian British eating in upper hall. He's really cute...Ding Jian always teases me. But he's really cute ma...and mind you, me saying he's cute does NOT mean I have a special feeling towards him. I love Alex Norman and Prof. Campbell too! They're my 2 favourite supervisors. They're just......TOO NICE!!!

A family had a baby with a terrible breathing problem and he had to be kept in a respirator to stay alive. But he was born with several other handicaps besides, so that even with a respirator he could not survive for long. How long would he live at the hospital? Nobody knew for sure. Maybe eight months? How long could he live at home? Nobody knew for sure. Maybe a month, or less.

How would he live and die at home? Bathed in love. Touched and talked to. Wept over with tears of infinite care. And cradled in the bosom of family.

How would he die at home? In the presence of those to whom he was tied by the invisible bonds of family love. Given back to God by the mother and father who brought him to life. Before the eyes of a brother and sister who would forever after remember what it was like to love a dying baby brother. And who could ever know for sure what it meant to a newborn baby to die in its mother's arms?

How would he live and die at the hospital? Surrounded by caring professionals. But strangers in white gowns who stayed for a shift and then went home to their own. He would die tied to wires and tubes, hooked to machines. Kept alive a little longer by the best technology available. But dying anyway, only a little later.

The family chose to take their baby home, to let their other two children share in loving and caring for a brother who was born to live long enough to give his family a chance to love him with the passion of someone who knows he can love only for a little while. More, the parents chose to give their baby a chance to live for the precious little while given him in the place where every baby belongs, in the heart of a family.

He died in a circle of abounding love three weeks later.

Was it a choice between right and wrong? I don't think so. It was more like a choice between two right courses, one which may have been more appropriate than the other. A choice for what best fit the needs of the people whose lives were so deeply touched by it.

This story reminds me of the show "A walk to remember". It's not how long you live that matters most, it's how you live your life, how you touch those around you that matters. God bless=)

I was in the airplane on my way back and this thought came to my mind which I want to share. I have been chatting with a friend concerning love few days ago...and love is something which still amazes me until today.

Here I stand, at the age of 19 going on 20. I have always struggled with love and at many times, I feel like giving up on it.

All for love a Father gave,
For only love could make a way...

Everything we do all comes down to love be it relationship with people or a special someone. We often ask God (or at least I do), "Who is my special someone? When I fall in love, how do I know if it's from God?"

Many face situations where you fall in love with someone but your love is unreturned. I know that it hurts to see the person you love going out with another for I was once in that position. I have a shirt that says:

To love is to find pleasure in the happiness of the person loved.

I find this phrase very true yet it's difficult to comprehend. Love is about self-sacrifice and not self-centred. Love is the greatest of all and in all circumstances, we should continually pray for the happiness of the one you love. There is no boundary to what depth love can reach. You love a person because of who they are inside and what they are when it comes to relationship with people around them, not what they do to you to earn you love.

Do not rush into a relationship even at times when you think that it's the right time to start one now! Always remember, Jesus Loves You and His love will never fail. Wait on God to bring the right person into your life, for an upright relationship glorifies God and helps to grow together in God. Whether you are single or attached, do not put God out of the picture. Let God be the centre of a relationship. Most importantly, LET GOD BE THE AUTHOR OF YOUR LOVE STORY! God bless.

3 lightbulb blew in 3 consecutive days!

My gosh....my lightbulb blew 3 times in 3 consecutive days! How bad can things get? It's been fixed twice for the past 2 days and the 3rd one blew today. I think the lightbulb don't want me to study. I think the power supplied to the lightbulb is exceeding the rated power of the lightbulb so it blew after bout 3 hours of usage. haha...oh well, i hope they'll fix it properly. I'm just guessing. Oh well, hopefully when they fix it again tomorrow they'll fix the correct lightbulb or I might keep on blowing one everyday till after exams.

One life...

I have been playing for the past 2 days...play a lot of sports, from tennis to badminton to salsa to frisbee to football to kite to captain ball...all these in just 2 days. I didn't get much work done but I somehow didn't think of it as a waste of time. Then I thought to myself, I don't think I am who I used to be. I used to worry about studies. And now? 2 days of playing I am still happy. I've missed out a lot on life and I think it's time to realise that each of us only have one life to live. We should live it to the fullest. Live it in such a manner that when you're in your death bed and you reflect on your life, you would not regret haven't done the things you should have done. Do not think you have time a lot of time because time flies. Even before you know it, you'll be too old. Lie down on the grass once in a while and relax on a cloudy day and you might see life in a different way. This is my time. This is my dance. I want to live every moment to embrace the mystery of this life with God walking side by side. I want to be happy and happy and happy everyday of my life.

I am sorry for the late updates. I also won't be writing much here as i am in a studying crisis. I really enjoyed my stay in US. Many things have happened in the past months...it was so good to run away to somewhere no one can find me. It felt so good being embraced by my family and welcomed home as a daughter after 6 months of being away. I felt at peace and at home...i felt a sence of protection once again. I lived in a dream world in US and now i'm back in the real world. Some pics of my dream world for you to see...more here.

My parents have left me and went back to Malaysia. I miss them so much...so much. So short the time i spent with them, but i thank God that i can even be here to spent those little time with them. I sent them off at the train station. I could still remember my mom's last words before she board the train..."Be a good girl". I will be a good girl and i will make u proud. i pray that God will help me study...I need You to be my tutor.

I went to church today and it's one of the few occassions that i actually felt at home in church ever since i've been away from home. The service was so similar, the people were as friendly, as smiley as the people in my church back home. For once I could actually understand jokes the pastor made...i haven't been able to understand jokes well in UK...different wavelength probably. How i miss my church back home...i feel more comfortable serving. Help me find a ministry where i can serve you with the gifts you've given me. Help me find my way back to you Oh Lord...i am a lost sheep.

I was at a friend's place for cg last night when i noticed something i haven't seen eversince i came here. A WEIGHING SCALE! i stood on it expecting that i either remained the same weight as before i came or perhaps lighter....but to my surprise, I'VE GAINED 7 Kg!!! This is impossible! I haven't gain weight in years. The scale wasn't faulty because my friend also weighed and it was his normal weight. Do I look like i've gained 7 kg? I still look as thin as ever.
